The Stukeleys Parish Council

About the Parish Council

The Council has nine members, normally elected every four years, and one part-time employed Clerk (Contacts). Members are unpaid and usually claim no expenses. Like all Parish Councils we have limited powers, but have an important role representing local needs and opinions to higher levels of Government (District, County, etc.).

See the District Council’s Parish Council page for more information about Parish Councils.

Note that funds are very limited; they are raised from the two villages via the Precept portion of Council Tax, or grant funding if it is available. We take on projects for the benefit of the villages and make information available on this website as appropriate.
